Marilyn’s short-term contract with Twentieth Century Fox is extended to a seven year contract. This is due to her attendance at an exhibitors’ party in the studio commissary where the studio president, Spyros Skouras is also present. Marilyn shows up late making her usual jaw dropping entrance and from that point on TCF want to know everything Marilyn will be starred in. Her drama teacher, Natasha Lytess was also hired. Natasha earned $500 a week from the Fox, plus $250 Marilyn was paying her for private lessons. Therefore for the first year Marilyn was at the Fox, Natasha Lytess earned more money than her as Marilyn was only making $500 taking away expenses for her acting lessons.
